Inquest into death of former Premier League footballer's daughter

12 April 2012

An inquest into the death of the teenage daughter of former Premier League footballer Antoine Sibierski will be held today.

Sibylle Sibierski, 18, was found dead by police officers in her apartment in Altrincham, south Manchester, on February 1.

Her French father moved to Manchester City from Lens in 2003 and made 92 league appearances before he went on to play for Newcastle United and Wigan Athletic.

He has retired from the game and is now thought to be a football agent.

Miss Sibierski was a former pupil of St Bede's College and Cheadle and Marple Sixth Form College and is believed to have been working as a nightclub promoter in Manchester city centre.

The inquest into her death is scheduled to begin at 2pm at Stockport Coroner's Court.
