Is it a pair of 'Gregory Becks'?

A schoolboy is hoping a pair of abandoned designer sunglasses he found at a theme park actually belong to England and Manchester United star David Beckham.

Benjamin King, aged nine, from Ipswich, Suffolk, kept hold of the specs after he found them while on a family trip to the Legoland theme park in Windsor on July 18.

At the time he had no idea that they could belong to the England captain but later found out the footballer and his wife, singer Victoria, and their son Brooklyn were at the park on the same day.

Benjamin's father Simon, 31, a baker said: "Benjamin was behind them in the queue for the Dragon Rollercoaster."When he got off the ride he found them nearby, he said he had almost stood on them."

Benjamin, an Ipswich Town supporter who is also fan of Beckham, was at the park with his sister Danielle, five, and his grandmother.

Mr King went on: "He came back home and said he thought they were something to do with the police because they had the name of the make, the word Police on them.

"A friend later heard a news story on the local radio that he had lost them while at Legoland."

The family have contacted Manchester United but said they don't know if he will be contacted because the team is away in Europe for pre-season friendly matches.

Mr King said: "Benjamin's quite excited. If he wants them back we will send them back.

"As far as I'm concerned they are just a pair of designer sunglasses but we are treating them with care because they could be his."

A spokeswoman for Manchester United Football Club, said: "If Benjamin would like to get in touch with us we would like to her from him.

"We will contact David and if they are his glasses we will return them to him.

"We appreciate hearing from him."
