Evening Standard13 April 2012

THE partner of a 21/7 attempted suicide bomber today started a legal bid to win her freedom.

Yeshi Girma, 33, the mother of Hussain Osman's three children, was jailed for 15 years for helping him escape justice.

She was convicted at the Old Bailey last year of withholding knowledge from the police about the plot to blow up London's transport system and helping Osman lie low in Brighton before he fled to Italy.

Osman was sentenced to 44 years for his attempt to detonate his bomb at Shepherd's Bush Tube station after he was caught in Rome.
