Kylie had a breakdown

Kylie Minogue will reveal today she had a nervous breakdown at the start of her music career.

The singer's father warned her in 1988 she was taking on too much and could not cope. 'I like to think that I'm quite strong, and yes, I can do it ... learning to say no has been very difficult, you know,' she will tell Radio 2.

'But now I do say "no", and you know what? The world doesn't cave in, nothing terrible happens, I just have a little bit more time for life.' She was able to spend more time with boyfriend Olivier Martinez, she added.
