Liam's history of violence

Earlier this year Liam Gallagher threw punches as he was ejected from the Met Bar, followed by tearful girlfriend Nicole Appleton.

Another controversial incident arose last year, when he escaped prosecution after being accused of indecently assaulting a BA stewardess by grabbing her bottom.

In November 1998, he was arrested over an allegation of criminal damage in a London pub. The same day, he and brother Noel were searched by police as they walked near his home after "acting suspiciously".

Earlier that year, Liam was accused in an Australian court of breaking the nose of a British backpacker. The same year he was banned for life from flying Cathay Pacific after abusive behaviour on a flight.

In 1997 he received a police warning after a row with a cyclist in Camden High Street.

That same year police were called to a London hotel after Liam and members of his entourage fought with drinkers.

In a separate incident that year, he was allegedly involved in a brawl at Ronnie Scott's.

In 1996, he was warned over possession of cocaine after a riotous night in London, which started with the wrecking of a snooker room in the Groucho Club. Days later, he was banned from the Groucho for life.
