London cabs go for gold

Robert Jobson12 April 2012

Fifty London taxis and 50 red buses are being coloured gold in honour of the Queen's Golden Jubilee.

The London Tourist Board unveiled the taxis at the British Travel Trade Fair in Birmingham today.

Numbered from the coronation year of 1952 to this year, they will take to the streets later this month.

The jubilee-liveried buses will also be in service during the celebrations and beyond.
