STORES GROUP Marks & Spencer today opened its first mainline railway shopping outlet, at London's Liverpool Street station. Marks & Spencer Simply Food specialises in sandwiches, snacks, ready-prepared meals, wine and flowers and is tailored to suit busy City workers.
It opens from 7am to 11pm, seven days a week, and is part of a joint venture with Compass subsidiary Select Service Partner. It is M&S's first foray into franchising in Britain. Two more stores are planned at Victoria and Marylebone stations.
