Madoff listed masseuses under M in address book

Jailed fraudster Bernard Madoff was flirtatious, often made sexually suggestive remarks and frequently visited massage parlours, his secretary of 20 years claimed today.

Eleanor Squillari, 59, said: "I looked in his address book and found, under M', about a dozen phone numbers for his masseuses." She said she told him: "If you ever lose your address book and somebody finds it, they're going to think you're a pervert."

Her revelations in Vanity Fair magazine are at odds with the former Nasdaq stock exchange chairman's pre-arrest image as a pillar of the US Jewish community.

Madoff faces life in prison for running a pyramid scheme prosecutors claim took as much as £44 billion of clients' cash.
