Man found dead in New Forest home

A 54-year-old man has been found dead inside a house in the heart of the New Forest, police said today.
Officers were called to Foldsgate Close, in the village of Lyndhurst, just after 7pm yesterday and discovered the victim after entering the property.
A 52-year-old man was arrested at the scene and is being held in custody in Lyndhurst Police Station where he will be questioned.
Hampshire Police are yet to release the identity of the dead man, but said a post mortem examination will take place later today in an attempt to establish the cause of death.
