Man hit by train after woman's body found

Police suspect a murder-suicide after a man was hit by a train following the discovery of a woman's body.

Ambulance staff found the woman after being called to a property in Woodley, Berkshire, at 1.50pm this afternoon.

The man's body was then found near Twyford railway station, where police were called shortly after 2pm.

A Thames Valley Police spokesman said: "Officers remain at the scene of both incidents and both deaths are being treated as unexplained at this time."
