Message of peace at Bob Marley festival

Legend: Bob Marley
12 April 2012

A reggae festival with a message of peace will be held at Wembley Arena to mark 30 years since the death of Bob Marley.

His son Ky-mani will play his father's songs, with other performances from Busta Rhymes, Sean Paul, Shaggy, Aswad and John Holt. The One Love Peace Festival is named after the 1978 Jamaica gig at which Marley got rival political leaders on stage to shake hands. He was 36 when he died.

The event on July 31 will promote the message "Throw away your guns, throw away your knives", and proceeds will go to charity. Tickets, priced from £35, are on sale now.
