Name-change at theatre to honour Pinter

A London theatre is to be named after Harold Pinter, it was revealed today.

The Comedy Theatre in Panton Street will be renamed the Harold Pinter Theatre next month in honour of the playwright, director and actor, who died in 2008.

Ambassador Theatre Group, which owns the venue, said it was "a fitting tribute to a man who made such a mark on British theatre".

Over the past 21 years the theatre has hosted seven Pinter productions. His widow, Lady Antonia Fraser, said: "Harold would have been so pleased by this honour and I am very moved." said
