New evidence sent on leak MP

Police have sent a new batch of evidence to prosecutors on the Damian Green case to help them decide whether to bring charges against the Tory MP.

The Crown Prosecution Service confirmed today that it had received the new material from the Met but said that it was still expecting to receive further evidence before reaching a decision.

Mr Green and civil servant Chris Galley were arrested in November over the leaking of confidential Home Office documents to the Tories.
