New job for Mr Sneeze

Mr Sneeze: landed himself a new role for GlaxoSmithKline
13 April 2012

One day, Mr Sneeze went for a walk and bumped into an important looking man who had a big, fat cheque. His name was Mr GlaxoSmithKline and he wanted Mr Sneeze to plug his allergy remedies.

If that sounds like a plot for one of the popular Mr Men series of children's books, you are not far off. The pharmaceutical giant has sponsored a special Mr Men book to promote anti-allergy drugs.

Mr Sneeze and His Allergies was written by Adam Hargreaves, the son of the Mr Men creator, Roger. Although it does not refer to products, the story concludes with a guide to allergies and medication. In the tale, Mr Sneeze thinks he has a cold, but his ailment turns out to be an allergy. A Glaxo spokesman said: 'The book's aim is to raise awareness of allergies in general.'
