Now Ryanair is the no-fares airline

12 April 2012

BUDGET airline Ryanair today announced a one million seat giveaway to passengers travelling from London Stansted to Europe - and all they have to do is pay airport taxes.

Under the new initiative, flights to popular European destinations such as Milan, Brussels and Hamburg will only cost £12.92 per passenger on a one-way ticket.

The move came as the airline launched a new customer service charter which aims to set new standards for the low fares airline. The charter includes a promise to offer the lowest fare at all times.

Chief Executive Michael O'Leary said that passengers would not be offered compensation if the charter's targets were not met.

But he added: 'If we don't meet our targets our passengers will hold us to account and won't fly with us any more.'

Bookings for the giveaway can only be made on the internet and are available now on flights from October 1 to December 17.
