OFT takes space with Regus

THE Office of Fair Trading, based at offices in Fleet Street, is taking overflow space in the City at the Regus business centre, No 1 Poultry. The OFT declined to say how many staff it is moving from its headquarters in Breams Buildings, nor would it divulge for how long the serviced space will be taken. OFT head of facilities Ken King said the office was having to expand considerably to meet additional Government requirements.

Regus chief executive Mark Dixon spoke of 'a growing portfolio' of Government agency clients to whom it could offer a saving of 50% on the total costs of a traditional long-term lease. Regus shares were up 1p at 43p on the news.
