On film, boy of 11 shows off gun in East End armoury

Bravado: the boy waves the handgun at the camera
12 April 2012

An 11-year-old boy waves a gun like a toy in an illegal East End arms factory. He points it at the camera and revels in showing off in front of a crowd.

Around him are a gang of underworld armourers who supplied London's most feared criminals with hitman kits, personalised gold bullets and James Bond-style "pen guns".

Today two members of the gang were convicted of possessing firearms with intent to supply to others to endanger life.

They were trapped when police smashed down the reinforced steel entrance to the gun factory and found a rave in full swing.

Ringleader Paul Coke, 39, of Ilford, was convicted at Snaresbrook crown court with Albanian Fatmir Kadena, 26, and will be sentenced later by Judge Tudor Owen.

Three other defendants were cleared. One, Ihemegbu Onokah, 33, worked as a driver for London 2012 Olympics chiefs, including chairman Lord Coe.
