The happy couple: David and Anna

David Sebag is one of a dying breed - a true romantic. When the 25-year-old met 24-year-old Anna five years ago, on a chilly night in the queue for the Ministry of Sound he was quick to offer her his coat. Move forward five years and the pair are still together and, thanks to This is London's 'Win A £2k night out', they have never been happier.

David, a business management analyst, was blown away when he was told he'd been picked as one of our lucky £2k winners. What made the news even more special for David was that he'd been planning to pop the question to Anna, who works for Versace, for over a year and now he could do it in £2k style.

For months he kept his secret plan to himself and plotted how to sweep Anna off her feet using the money.

On the morning of their fifth anniversary David told Anna that he was treating her to a morning at the Elemis Spa and suggested what she should wear - but she had no idea what else lay in store for her...

'I left Polaroid’s with the staff at the spa to give to Anna when she had finished her treatment. These led her to a chauffeur-driven car where I was waiting.'

David and Anna were then whisked off to a helipad in Battersea where Anna soon had to overcome her vertigo. From there they were taken to Raymond Blanc's luxurious hotel Le Manoir aux Quat's Saisons in Oxford.

'The staff there were charming and the place itself was exceptional. We could never have afforded to do things in that way.' said David.

The couple were shown to the very beautiful Lalique Room where they counted down the hours until their 7-course-meal.

'Throughout the day Anna kept asking me if I'd spent all our money, as we'd only just got back from a holiday in Thailand'.

Rather than answer her questions David merely told Anna not to worry and that all would be explained in the morning.

Throughout the delicious seven course menu David constantly checked that the engagement ring was in place and arranged for flowers, candles and music to be waiting for them on their return.

Then came the moment David, and by this time Anna too, had been waiting for. David got down on one knee and asked Anna to marry him. And, you'll be pleased to learn she said 'Yes!' How could anyone say no after all that?

Since the engagement neither Anna nor David had stopped grinning from ear to ear and they have already set their wedding date for August next year. David summed up the day perfectly 'magical'. Ahh... You see, This is London does make dreams come true.
