Plan to fill empty homes in London

Evening Standard13 April 2012

A list of every abandoned and rundown building in London is to be produced as the first stage of a £60 million drive to turn them into affordable homes.

The scheme to tackle the capital's empty homes problem was announced today by Boris Johnson.

The Mayor made the announcement today as he attended the launch of English Heritage's "Heritage at Risk" register that details listed buildings in danger of being lost through neglect.
