Poor's sees a poor outlook

THE financial strength of many UK firms will continue to deteriorate next year after a grim 2002, said credit rating agency Standard & Poor's. It is gloomy about the power sector, reeling from the near-collapse of British Energy. Chemicals, building materials and airlines will also be under strain, it says.
