£1.1bn Japan loans for Ripplewood

INVESTMENT house Ripplewood Holdings is reportedly close to an agreement to borrow 209 billion yen (£1.1bn) to help finance its purchase of Japan Telecom from Vodafone. Citigroup, JP Morgan Chase and Japan's three largest lenders are arranging the loans.
