Putney's vaults to be river restaurant

A riverside restaurant will be created in Putney in vaults which run from the High Street to the river.

Planning applications chairman Nick Cuff, whose committee approved the application, said: "This scheme would give the site a much needed facelift.

Few people are even aware of the vaults below Lower Richmond Road, which are part of the listed bridge structure."
