Race claim halts Texas execution

The US Supreme Court granted a last-minute stay of execution to a killer whose lawyers argued the case was tainted by race issues.
Duane Buck, 48, shot his ex-girlfriend and a man at her Texas home in 1995.
His legal team said his sentencing was influenced by a psychologist who testified that black men were more likely to pose a public danger.
Buck had eaten a last meal of fried chicken.
