Railway cancellations

Evening Standard13 April 2012

SOUTHEASTERN was forced to cancel all services into London with no trains running into Cannon Street, Charing Cross and parts of London Bridge and Victoria.

Southern, with routes from the South Coast into Victoria, was forced to reduce services to just one or two trains an hour. South West Trains into mainline Waterloo suffered a much reduced service. Through London Thameslink services, run by First Capital Connect, and First Great Western trains into Paddington were also among the worst hit.

National Express East Anglia and the Stansted Express suffered severe delays.

A Southeastern spokeswoman said: "All services into London are suspended - we may be able to run a few trains around the Kent coast later."

There were delays of up to an hour on the East Coast Main Line into King's Cross. Other services north of the Thames are running but also with delays.
