Samsung charts BG ships contract

SOUTH Korea's Samsung Heavy Industries, the world's third largest shipbuilder, said today that it was trying to seal a $620m (£350m) order to build three liquefied natural gas ships for Britain's BG Group.

A spokesman for Samsung confirmed newspaper reports that the deal was in progress, but said it had not been finalised.
