Scoot losses top £180m

ONLINE directory business Scoot.com said it has enough cash to last it until August, despite announcing more-than-doubled pre-tax losses of £180.3m for 2001. Scoot UK revenues rose 29% in the second half to £3.1m. Group revenues were £30.7m, up from £24.1m.

The company last year sold its Loot advertising newspaper business to Daily Mail and General Trust, owner of the Daily Mail, the Mail on Sunday, the London Evening Standard and This Is Money. The shares today rose 0.15p to 1p.
