Sex attack is not 'Trophy Rapist'

13 April 2012

A sex attack on a woman in Surrey is not linked to the so-called "Trophy Rapist" case, police said today.
Detectives investigating the alleged assault on a 22-year-old woman said it is very unlikely to be linked to Operation Orb - the hunt for the serial sex attacker who operates in south east England.
A Surrey police spokeswoman said: "There is no reason to suggest that the offence is linked to Operation Orb and at this stage no such link has been made."
The alleged rape took place in the Westfield area of Woking at around 8pm yesterday.
The "Trophy Rapist", given the name because he usually takes an item from his victims, has attacked 10 women and girls across the South East.
