Silvio Berlusconi 'gave money to second under-age model'

Italian prime minister Silvio Berlusconi was today at the centre of fresh allegations after it emerged that a second under-age girl had attended his "bunga bunga" sex parties.

New documents filed by prosecutors investigating claims of under-age sex and extortion against Mr Berlusconi, 74, revealed that Brazilian model Iris Berardi was 17 when she attended his dinners.

Iris, now 20, is said to be an escort girl. Although there was no suggestion she had had sex with the media tycoon, the documents showed she had received substantial payments from him.

Phone records in the prosecution papers show that Ms Berardi's mobile latched on to a phone mast covering the area around Mr Berlusconi's home in Milan several times last year.

They also show she was in the area in December 2009 and near his holiday home in Sardinia.

Prosecutors are investigating a notebook that was seized at her home near Milan. It contains the word "papi", Mr Berlusconi's nickname, and the figures 2,000 alongside dates between February and June last year.

Iris was born in Brazil in December 1991 and therefore a minor when she attended the "bunga bunga" parties, so called because of their reference to a crude after-dinner sex game. Today her mobile phone was switched off.

Mr Berlusconi is already being investigated for under-age sex with belly dancer Karima "Ruby" el Mahroug, who was also only 17 when she attended the parties last year.
