Strippers fined over sex scam

Three strippers who refused to sleep with customers after charging them up to £1,000 each for sex have been given one-year suspended jail terms by a court in France.

The women were also fined £4,000 each after being convicted of defrauding 10 clients at the Pigalle sex club in Paris.

The court heard the the club had organised the scam to "persuade gullible people that there was a possibility of sexual relations with the dancers".

The club's managers, accountant, secretary and four other dancers were also fined.
