The Two Towers premiere auction
One of the most eagerly anticipated movies of the year is only days away from making its UK premiere.
Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers opens to a star-studded gala of celebrities on the evening of Wednesday, December 11 at the Odeon Leicester Square and YOU could be joining them.
Mencap, the leading UK learning disability charity and This is London, have teamed up to auction TWO GOLD TICKETS to the premiere to raise money for the charity.
You could be rubbing shoulders with celebrities including: Cate Blanchett, Liv Tyler, Sean Astin, Peter Jackson and many other members of the sequel to the blockbusting film.
All you have to do to attend the premiere is:
a)Make your bid on our auction message board
b)Send This London your telephone number of where you can be reached between 5pm and 5.30pm on Tuesday, December 10.
c)Be available on that number between 5pm and 5.30pm on Tuesday, December 10.
The person with the highest closing bid by 5pm on Tuesday will win the tickets.
Winners can collect tickets from the Entertainment Film office on Jermyn Street, Piccadilly. Doors to the premiere open at 6pm. The film starts at 7pm with no admittance after this time. The premiere finishes at 10.30pm.
All the money raised will go to the registered charity Mencap (Reg: 222377). Next year Mencap volunteers will be raising more money for the charity with a trek through New Zealand where most of the Lord of the Rings film was shot. For more details on the trek call: 0845 9777 779.
