Three killed in crashes on London roads over 24 hours
Three people were killed and two others seriously injured in three crashes on London's roads in less than 24 hours.
Two pedestrians were crushed under buses, one in Knightsbridge and one in Tooting.
In a separate crash, a young man died and another was left fighting for life when their car hit a parked minibus in Enfield. Firefighters cut both men free from the wrecked BMW in Hoe Lane at about 8am yesterday. The passenger, aged 21, was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver, also in his early twenties, was flown by helicopter to the Royal London Hospital.
It came hours after a pedestrian in his mid-thirties was killed in a bus crash near Hyde Park Corner. The bus struck another man, aged 34, who suffered serious head injuries.
On Saturday evening an 84-year-old man died after being hit by a double decker in Mitcham Road, Tooting.
