Topshop aims for festival market with £4 make-up

12 April 2012

Fashion retailer Topshop is to expand its brand by rolling out a make-up range for music festivals.

The line is due to be officially launched in May, and will include basic make-up products such
as eye-shadows, eye pencils and skin tints.

The retailer plans to release four to six seasonal ranges a year and each item will cost between £4 and £12.

Topshop designer Lizzie Dawson is behind the range, which will be ready in time for the summer. Ms Dawson said she travelled from Paris to Tokyo to research how girls get ready for festivals.

"Usually you've got to go to specialist shops to find the kind of make-up girls wear at festivals," she said, adding: "We wanted to offer fun, adventurous products on the high street at an affordable price."
