Tories' warning on sex diseases

The Tories today unveiled plans for a public awareness campaign warning young people of the dangers of sexually transmitted diseases.

The publicity drive will encourage the young "not to engage" in behaviour which could put them at risk. It will highlight binge drinking, sexually transmitted infections (STI) and drug abuse. Michael Howard also promised a ?40million screening programme for chlamydia - the most common STI.
