TV presenter Ant McPartlin is punched at pub

12 April 2012

Ant MacPartlin was punched in the face by a thug in an unprovoked attack as he watched football with friends in his local pub.

The presenter was taunted by a drunken yob who, referring to his TV partner Declan Donnelly, shouted to him: "Where's your girlfriend?" The assault took place at the Barley Mow in Chiswick.

McPartlin, 35, had been watching Arsenal play Barcelona on Tuesday and the attacker was thought to be about 18. A spokesman said he would not take the matter any further.
