UK link to Uzbek army

British military equipment was reportedly used in the massacre of hundreds of protesters in Uzbekistan.

Photos apparently show soldiers taking cover b e s ide Land Rove r Defenders as they confronted demonstrators, killing up to 500 people in Andijan on 13 May.

The DTI said no evidence had been received that the vehicles came from the UK. They have been made in Turkey using British parts.
