Lasting image: Saddam as he was captured

'Ladies and gentlemen, we got him'. With these words, the world learned that Saddam Hussein had finally been captured by US forces.

As the gathering whooped with delight, the US adminstrator in Iraq, Paul Bremer, revealed that Saddam was being held near his home town of Tikrit.

He is said to be 'co-operating' with his interrogators, and has been awarded Prisoner of War status.

But what next for Saddam? And will his capture bring stability to Iraq?
