Some of the world's greatest paintings have been updated for the digital age as part of a unique London exhibition.

The Intel Remastered event, which opens tomorrow, features Edvard Munch's Scream as a musical wall and Vincent Van Gogh's The Starry Night as an interactive video.

Turner's Rain, Steam and Speed - The Great Western Railway is reworked by Eric Schockmel as a 3D animation described as "a graphic epic that explores the dystopian side of a changing landscape."

Artists Bompas & Parr recreate Leonardo da Vinci's The Last Supper with other "last meals" from history, including a first-class menu from the Titanic and last meal of death-row inmate Robert Buell.

Oliver Harrison is a member of Midnight Toastie, the London collective which reimagined Van Gogh's painting. He said: "Starry night has very distinct brush strokes and is incredibly vibrant. Technology has great scope to take those brush strokes and extend them. We wanted to use technology to bring the painting up to date."

The installation has a foreground made of textiles, and a rear projection screen controlled by a webcam. Stars appear and move depending on where the observer is. The other members of the collective are Daniel London, Audrey Anastasy, Paul Ferragut and Daniel Price.

The version of Scream by animator and sound artist Lung uses screens, speakers and a sculpted wall covered in graffiti to "emit a concoction of sights and sounds from a vivid sculpted wall, akin to the frenetic lights, colours and jingles of a decaying theme park."

The Intel Remastered event runs at One Marylebone until Sunday.
