Woman set to sell herself online

Bidding ends today in an internet auction which will see businesswoman Kay Hammond sell herself as a wife online.

The sale, which is currently lead by a £251,000 bid by 'Ben Web', closes this afternoon. Kay Hammond, an internet entrepreneur from Birmingham, put a £250,000 reserve price on herself in an auction on QXL.

Miss Hammond's two previous attempts to auction herself online had to be halted after a series of bogus bids reached £1 billion. In a bid to deter jokers, the new auction carries warnings that false bidders may be prosecuted by Miss Hammond.The 27-year-old has also warned prospective husbands to be available for a March wedding.
