Your chance to live next to Tower of London for £1 million

Riverside: an impression of the Three Quays with the Tower of London next to it on the right. Building work starts next week
12 April 2012

FLATS priced at £1 million are to be built next to the Tower of London.

The Three Quays building on the Thames will have views of Tower Bridge and across to City Hall.

A white Sixties office block will be demolished next week to make way for it.

Many of the 97 serviced and 64 private one, two and three-bedroom flats are expected to be bought by the multinational law and accountancy firms about to move into offices over the river.

Developer The Cheval Group expects the flats to be ready in three years.

Architects 3DReid say they have aimed for a building that blends in with the style and history of the area.

The nine-storey block will be clad with limestone panels and feature glass bays so it does not look too harsh next to the tower.
