Zeta wants Nicole's career
Catherine Zeta Jones has fired her agent after ten years because she is jealous of Nicole Kidman's career, it was claimed yesterday.
The actress was allegedly told by her husband, Michael Douglas, that the only way to win a best actress Oscar would be to dump George Freeman.
An industry insider told the New York Post: 'Michael pecked at Catherine, saying, "Why didn't you get this part? Why didn't you get that part?".
'Nicole gets first look at every script and Catherine doesn't. Nicole and Catherine had very similar careers until Nicole's divorce from Tom Cruise. Then audiences found her sympathetic. No one finds Catherine as likable.'
Zeta Jones, who won the best supporting actress award last year for Chicago, replaced Mr Freeman with a rival from another publicity firm.
Her spokeswoman CeCe York said: 'People change agencies - it happens all the time.'
