A break at Center Parcs is ideal for some valuable family time says mum Sam.

My family love Center Parcs. As I work shifts, I crave time for us all to be together. No matter your age or your interests. Whether you are sporty or arty, there is something for everybody here.

Being pregnant, cycling, canoeing and swimming were activities that I could do with my husband and our two boys. We spent a lot of time at the Subtropical Swimming Paradise. Shooting down the rapids was amazing. We also tried Aqua Jetting. Clinging to a Seadoo (a torpedo-like propeller) as you twisted through the water was exhilarating.

I teamed up with George, my 13-year-old son, for an archery session. We won two out of four competitions. My youngest son, 8, loved Robin Hood & Little Johns (an archery session for kids), especially as he got to spend time alone with his dad.

While the boys did a bit of male-bonding over a game of football and a Quad Bike Safari, I sneaked off to the Aqua Sana spa for some “me” time. The staff were wonderful, so friendly and helpful. After my mother-to-be treatment, I relaxed by the spa pool. Pure bliss!

The choice of restaurants at Center Parcs is fantastic. I think we must have shares in Starbucks by now. My kids loved the Magical Carvery at the Pancake House. They would eat pancakes all day and every day, if they could. Having magic performed at your table was the icing on the cake. Some evenings, we ate at home. George likes cooking, so he helped me out.

“If you like having fun, then Center Parcs is the place to go,” says George. “There is such an array of activities that you have to keep going back to get everything done.”

We are all so excited about the opening of Woburn Forest and will be there with the new addition to our family in the not too distant future.
