Women have long been stereotyped for the amount of time they spend getting ready, but it seems men are just as preoccupied with their looks - especially whether they're having a good hair day.

A new survey has revealed that 91 per cent of London men spend up to an hour getting ready for a night out, with the majority of that time spent on their hair.

But it's not just the hair on their heads that we're talking about. Just over a quarter of men trim their intimate areas, 16 per cent shave their arms and 15 per cent consider having hair transplants.

It's not a simple case of a dollop of hair gel any more - a fifth of men are even getting treatments for their chest hair.

The research was carried out by Men-ü, which is offering a helping hand with its Shave Facial Essentials kit offering men everything they need to end bad, patchy shaves and get healthy, smooth skin.

At £29.95, the kit comes complete with an exfoliating shaver, the Healthy Facial Wash cleanser, the Matt ‘Skin Refresh’ Gel toner and the Facial Moisturiser Life.

Available by October, visit the website for more information.
