Loathe yoga. Always have. Revisit it every couple of years and find it, if anything, increasingly irritating. All that breathing and namaste-ing and general worthiness. Too impatient. ‘But that means you really, truly need it to find a place of stillness within yourself and to feel at one with the universe,’ yoga trolls may cry. Not so much.
So, how odd to develop such a fervent attachment to something called Liquid Yoga. Turns out that yoga without the actual yoga is rather lovely. A bath soak, in this instance — a yogi, bottled.
This fragrant detoxifier and relaxant is pumped full of active natural ingredients (Mio has swerved the bubblesome additives that you find in cheap, foamy soaps and shampoos) to draw out nasties, relieve twinges, loosen knots and fight bloat. It’s a sparkly post-exercise booster, a gentle pre-bed soother (oddly it both perks and lulls) and a great trick to have up your sleeve when you absolutely, three-line-whip have to go out, despite feeling totally droopy.
Oils? We’ve got a few: spearmint, cypress, lavender, mandarin and camomile not only work on your mood before you’ve so much as dipped a toe in the bath but leave your whole body lightly tingling as you hop out.
Love this stuff. No stinky yoga mats, other people’s arses in your face or lectures about chakras. Warning: may cause feelings of optimism and brio.
