Still shaking off Pensionsgate,

Lord Myners

put on a brave face to give

Anthony d'Offay

the Montblanc de la Culture Arts Patronage award.

Having donated his £120 million collection of Hirsts, Freuds and Warhols to Tate Modern, d'Offay picked up the cheque for 15,000 on the gallery's 7th floor, declaring the importance of philanthropy, while Zandra Rhodes and Katherine Jenkins sang his praises.
