Some wild things we learned about Lena Dunham this week

Including her very honest opinion of Jack Antonoff's new girlfriend

Few celebrities are quite as polarizing as Lena Dunham. While some idolize her, others (including many millennials) find her position on many things... challenging.

So naturally, when The Cut published its profile of the Girls creator - who is notorious for oversharing - everyone had a lot to say about it.

Want to get up to speed? We've pulled out a few highlights, including her most recent texts to ex Jack Antonoff, what she sends Lady Gaga, and the truth about her pets. And yes, Dunham knows about the Lorde PowerPoint.

She shares motivational texts with Lady Gaga

Dunham sent the reporter screenshots of a “motivational text conversation” she had with Lady Gaga, who (she notes drily) is saved on her phone as "Lady Gaga" not Stefani.

She has a picture of her uterus

Dunham shared a photo she has of her uterus, which was removed during her hysterectomy last year. Reporter Allison P Davis wrote, "It was smaller than I’d expect a uterus to be — more alive-seeming, too, as if it could be plopped right back in and resume its function."

Jack Antonoff kept the apartment after they broke up

He currently lives in their once-shared Brooklyn Heights home, where he records with artists. She’s currently living in Los Angeles, where her home is decorated with snakeskin, leopard, and neon. Dunham also has her own West Village apartment.

She and Antonoff still text constantly

She last texted her musician ex, “HOW DOES IT FEEL TO HAVE DATED SOMEONE EVERYBODY HATES?” to which he replied, "They only hate you because they love you so much, true story."

But she's a bit glum about Antonoff's latest girlfriend

The actress had some honest things to say about his new rumored love interest, model Carlotta Kohl. “I thought I was kind of proving weird girls can have love too" she said, "And now he’s dating somebody who looks regular and normal and like girls are supposed to look.”

She knows about that Lorde PowerPoint

Earlier this year a PowerPoint presentation surfaced claiming to 'prove' Antonoff was once romantically involved with his protege, Lorde. Dunham called the PowerPoint “very funny” but “so embarrassing", though she also said she hasn’t talked to Lorde since the breakup. "We haven’t talked since Jack and I broke up. It was awful" she says, "and I couldn’t do anything about it except trust that what he was saying to me was true.”

Her interior designer lives with her

Her designer, Paul, lives in the guesthouse with her poodles, Susan and Karen, which must help on the home decoration front. Dunham has a “Lady Room” filled with her personal artefacts, including a Glamour magazine shot and Eloise posters.

She does not kill her pets

After Dunham gave away her dog, Lamby, because she said he had behavioral issues, an employee from the shelter where she adopted him claimed the only issue the dog had was with Dunham.

This led to a strange and outlandish Internet rumor that Dunham kills her pets. It didn’t help that a Sphynx she adopted suddenly died and her Yorkie died soon after. “What animal-shelter guy is like, ‘I’m an electronic DJ, and I’m also looking to talk to Yahoo! Celebrity’?" Dunham said, "But dragging him through the court of public opinion like that doesn’t get me anywhere. It’s better just to kick back and be like, ‘Okay, sir, you can extend your career by telling people what a bad dog owner I was.’"

After her break-up with Antonoff, her friend Emmy Rossum went with her to Brighton Beach to pick up a hairless cat she found on Craigslist. Now, she says, she keeps herself busy by squeezing blackheads on Irma's chin.

Love Dunham or hate her, you can't accuse her of not being herself.
