Lindsay Lohan does a Disney princess shoot for Paper magazine

The star also discussed press scrutiny and life in Dubai

It's the annual 'Break the Internet' issue of Paper magazine this month, and what better cover star to select than a starlet who has, herself, broken the Internet many times over?

Whether you know her as the founder of the recent #DoTheLilo dance move, the A-lister who experienced an 84-minute stint in jail, or a Mean Girl, you'll definitely know Lindsay Lohan.

The 32-year-old actress has starred in a photo shoot for the New York-based pop culture magazine dressed as a series of Disney princesses.

A somewhat seductive tribute to the company that launched her career, the front cover sees the former Disney Channel star pose as Snow White, in a low-cut YSL dress baring more than a touch of décolletage, and inside, as Sleeping Beauty - in an outfit by Gorge Keburia - as The Little Mermaid in a TDF Costumes bodysuit, and Cinderella, in a slightly more demure dress by Discount Universe.

Within, Lohan discusses her challenging relationship with the media. "I would love to know why I get constantly clobbered in the press," she says. "I could do 99 things right and one thing wrong, but it's that one thing that will be focused on. Behind the scenes I do what I can to be the best version of me, which never gets mentioned. I am also human. I make mistakes. That's all that seems to get reported."

She also cites what she loves about her (now) home in Dubai - a "health-conscious place" that "promotes positivity and a positive attitude", where "people don't emphasise negativity".

Having turned away from acting, the star has recently filmed a reality TV show in Mykonos, 'Lindsay Lohan's Beach Club'; a show about managing the family-friendly resort she owns there.

It follows Lohan in her role as big cheese managing a bevy of staff, or, as the magazine puts it, "coming in to reprimand the attractive young people hired to run and promote her resort".

Set to air on MTV in January next year, it's a clear departure from Lohan's Disney roots and her former highly publicised party lifestyle. "To kind of have to calm other people down when they’re stressed out, which was me in the past - I think back like, 'Oh my God, did I act like that? Ten years ago?'" she asks.

"I want to make sure these kids are responsible for themselves," she says, but having recently trademarked her surname, adds, "but it's a liability and a legal issue too."
