Rapper Nicki Minaj took to Twitter on Thursday afternoon to announce that she’s retiring from music to focus on having a family - but now, it looks like she might be having second thoughts, as she deleted the tweet.

The news comes after she changed her Twitter name to Mrs. Petty although she has yet to say she’s married.

“I’ve decided to retire & have my family. I know you guys are happy now,” she tweeted to her 20 million followers. “To my fans, keep reppin me, do it til da death of me, in the box- cuz ain’t nobody checkin me. Love you for LIFE,” she wrote. Many of her fans responded to the tweet and said they hoped it was a joke.

She responded to fans this morning after one asked her to address her retirement. "I'm still right here," she said and announces that she's going to discuss it more on her Queen Radio show on Apple Music’s Beats 1 Radio. She tweeted, "I promise u guys will be happy."

In June, the Starships singer said that she and her boyfriend Kenneth Petty had gotten a marriage license. She announced the news on her radio show and opened up about the relationship. “I think I have what I was striving for, just happiness. It was so hard to get to a happy place. Now that I’m there, I don’t want to compromise that for anyone or anything,” she said.

In July, she seemed to confirm her engagement on her Chance the Rapper collaboration Zanies and Fools, with some fans thinking she was already pregnant. “He the Clyde to my Bonnie, ’bout to walk down the aisle and be a mommy,” she rapped.
