Is this leaked plot point the real reason Sex and the City 3 isn't happening?

Sex and the City 3 isn't happening because of Kim Cattrall - but a newly leaked plot point suggests something other than money has influenced her decision.

We've already heard that Mr. Big was slated to die in the third instalment after suffering a heart attack in the shower.

Now, new details have surfaced about the script. Apparently, a major plot point for Kim Cattrall's character Samantha involves sexting Miranda's 14-year-old son, Brady. In a proposed scene that feels as unfriendly in a post-#MeToo era as it gets, Brady was going to get caught sending his mom's best friend nude photos.

Cattrall was said to be the reason the movie wasn't happening because she was feuding with her SATC co-stars over money (among other things), but this glimpse at her character's story arc suggests there could be other reasons for her getting cold feet.

All of this was revealed on the Origins podcast, which Cattrall declined to appear on. However, Chris Noth (Mr. Big himself) did appear and told the host that he hated the "cornball shit" of the first two movies. Noth did say he had heard the third movie had a "superior script" - which wouldn't be particularly difficult after the disastrous second instalment.

Now, if the film ever does end up happening (without Samantha), it looks like the storyline will have to undergo some major changes. If only to keep movie audiences guessing after all the leaks.
