Accomplished female entertainers, icons, musicians and boundary-breakers were celebrated at Stylist’s Inaugural Remarkable Women Awards on Tuesday night. The event, held at the Rosewood Hotel in London, saw high profile women turn out to support their fellow sisters and - in the case of a select few - pick up an award.

Killing Eve’s Jodie Comer, dressed in a white double-breasted Casely-Hayford suit, picked up the Entertainer of the Year award. She was joined by musician Annie Lennox, who won the Icon Award, singer Anne-Marie who picked up Artist of the Year and Met Police Chief Cressida Dick, who was recognised with the Glass Ceiling Award for championing women in a male-dominated industry.

There were a number of inspiring speeches, from Cressida Dick celebrating the “thousands of policewomen” currently at work across the country through to Killing Eve’s Jodie Comer, revealing she had “never had to give an acceptance speech in her life” (though it's safe to assume the actress probably has more of those in her future.)

Annie Lennox also made an impassioned plea for men to join the conversation as “global feminists” and to stand in solidarity with women in the battle for gender equality.

A couple of winners couldn’t be there on the night as Katie Piper, Stylist’s Mentor of the Year, and Woman of the Year winner Jameela Jamil were tied up with other commitments.

In a video link sent thanking Stylist for her award, Jamil said, “Women in my position, women in all industries are told not to [speak up], or not to be unlikeable, or difficult, or problematic in any way. We’re told not to tell the truth and you give a voice to those of us who do.”

Other attendees included Maya Jama, Vicky McClure, Bodyguard's Keeley Hawes, presenters Vick Hope and Emma Willis, as well as comedian Katherine Ryan.
