It was 'ski Sunday' at London Fashion Week today as Anya Hindmarch opened proceedings with her own alpine fantasy.

In the collection notes the leather aficionado set out plans to explore the 'romanticised notion of winter and wanderlust' and then went on to deliver those in luxurious form with Nordic knits and shearling outerwear very much the order of the day.

Keen to add to her emerging remit of ready to wear for the wealthy urban woman, Hindmarch offered up hand woven leather coats, cashmere hot pants and nylon anoraks.

The vibe - one part Baz Luhrman's Grand Budapest Hotel another high flying Verbier holidaymaker - saw sugary shades combine with a boxy contemporary silhouette.

Hindmarch's USP is accessories for luxury lovers who refuse to take themselves too seriously - this collection was loaded with those with shearling sliders and double rucksacks trimmed with Fair Isle detailing among the highlights.

Nylon bloomers, worn alongside shearling body warmers and leather snow boots, also figured among the show's more playful inclusions.

Hindmarch is among a roster of accessory designers scheduled to stage shows at London Fashion Week today. This afternoon, under the watchful eye of Johnny Coca, Mulberry will stage its latest collection.
